Witness to Fatal ICE Shooting in Houston Released From Immigration Detention

Jose Trinidad Rojas Pliego was released from a detention center on Wednesday after spending weeks in custody following the deadly encounter he witnessed. Rojas Pliego was one of three men riding in a work van driven by Lorenzo Salgado Araujo on July 7 when Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by a federal immigration agent during a “targeted enforcement operation.”
