Legal Aid Groups Sue to Block ICE From Hiding Locations of Detainees With Final Removal Orders

Four legal-services groups, including Greater Boston Legal Services, sued in federal court in Boston on October 28, challenging ICE’s removal of detainees with final removal orders from its Online Detainee Locator System. AP reports that as of September that covered more than 16,000 of about 69,000 detainees. The suit brings claims under the Administrative Procedure Act and the First Amendment.
