UCLA Study: ICE Raids Caused “Economic Shock” to Los Angeles Latino Businesses

A UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute study of 989 businesses near nine Los Angeles enforcement sites found 46,000 fewer customer visits and roughly $3.16 million in lost revenue in the two weeks after raids; 59% of owners reported revenue declines over 50%. Nearly a year later, 95% still reported financial stress and 68% had temporarily closed or cut hours.
