TSA Has Shared Airline Passengers’ Personal Information With Immigration Enforcement for Over a Year

Documents obtained by the watchdog group American Oversight show the Trump administration has for more than a year used personal information airline passengers provide to the TSA for immigration enforcement. The records reveal a formal data-sharing agreement dating to May 2025 stating that “ICE will share information with TSA to identify individuals of interest to ICE in furtherance of its law enforcement mission.” Appendices listing the specific data elements exchanged were redacted from the released documents.
