Senate Republicans approved a budget resolution along a near-party-line 50–48 vote in the early morning hours Thursday, paving the way for a $140bn package to fund President Trump’s immigration enforcement apparatus — including ICE and Customs and Border Protection — for the remainder of his term and to end the ongoing Department of Homeland Security shutdown.
