ICE Officers Go to TSA Checkpoints at Trump's Direction

Armed ICE and Homeland Security Investigations officers in tactical gear were deployed to TSA checkpoints at major airports nationwide, including Atlanta, JFK, Newark, Houston, New Orleans, Phoenix, and Chicago. The deployment of immigration agents at domestic airport checkpoints is highly unusual and came as thousands of TSA agents worked without pay during a partial government shutdown.
