Federal Agents Detain Wife of Another U.S. Army Member: ‘ICE Is Out of Control’

U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Jose Serrano — a 27-year service member with a deployment to Afghanistan — said federal immigration agents arrested his Salvadoran wife, Deisy Rivera Ortega, during a scheduled appointment at an immigration office in El Paso. Serrano told CBS News that “ICE is out of control,” adding his family to a growing list of active-duty service members whose immigrant spouses have been detained at routine check-ins.
