ICE Detains Kearney Entrepreneur with Deep Nebraska Ties

ICE detained Carlos Godinez, a 47-year-old restaurant owner who has lived in Nebraska since age 10, after a probation violation triggered an ICE notification. Godinez, whose siblings are all U.S. citizens, is being held at Hall County Jail in Grand Island and faces deportation to Guatemala. He is raising two sons, ages 11 and 13.
