Report: ICE Arrests of New York’s Asian Immigrants Increase 600% Under Trump

A new report from Stop AAPI Hate found a sevenfold (about 600%) increase in ICE arrests of Asian immigrants in New York since President Trump took office last January. The nonprofit, which runs the nation’s largest reporting center tracking hate against AAPI communities, examined ICE activity involving Asian-origin immigrants and documented sharp surges concentrated in New York City.
