Another Disturbing Surprise From ICE
ICE has begun purchasing warehouses across the U.S. to detain immigrants, with a $313 million contract converting a 400,000-square-foot industrial warehouse in Surprise, Arizona into a detention facility for up to 1,500 people. Human Rights Watch warns the expansion poses "grave human rights concerns" given that at least 32 people died in ICE custody last year, with 14 deaths already reported in 2026.
