Washington State ICE Arrests Reach a New High, Newly Released Data Shows
ICE has arrested more people in Washington and nationwide than at any point in the last three years, according to figures released by the Deportation Data Project, which obtains ICE records through Freedom of Information Act requests. In Seattle, fewer and fewer days pass without an arrest. One driver is the arrival of “mega” master calendar hearings in immigration court, which reached Seattle in June and called as many as 120 people before a judge at once.
