U.S. Deports Relative of Afghans Who Helped the U.S. Military to the Central African Republic
The United States deported dozens of people to the Central African Republic, among them an Afghan man in his early twenties whose brothers collaborated with the U.S. military, according to his lawyer and an advocacy group. The man had been granted protection against deportation to Afghanistan. The Central African Republic is one of a growing number of third countries accepting deportees with no prior connection to them.
