Rep. Stanton Says ICE Guards Blocked Him From an Unmarked “Pop-Up” Immigration Court in a D.C. FEMA Building

Rep. Greg Stanton (D-Ariz.) says ICE guards blocked him for hours from entering an unmarked immigration court operating in a FEMA-owned office building in Washington. He and Rep. Jamie Raskin sent DHS, ICE and DOJ a letter in September seeking a briefing and say they have had no response. DHS and the immigration court agency would not answer questions; a DOJ spokesperson confirmed only that it is opening new hearing locations as needed.
