Two High Schoolers in Mississippi Are Released After Being Detained by ICE

Two brothers from the Republic of Congo were released from ICE detention on Thursday after their school community appealed to local Republican politicians on their behalf, their lawyer said. The high schoolers had been held by immigration agents until the public outcry from teachers, classmates, and elected officials prompted their release.
