ICE Removes Detainees With Final Removal Orders From Its Online Locator

ICE stopped listing detainees with final removal orders in its online detainee locator on September 15, according to three current and former ICE officials, leaving families and lawyers unable to find them. Nearly 16,000 people booked into ICE detention in July — more than a third — had final orders, according to the Deportation Data Project. The change does not apply at Adelanto, California, or at holding sites in Minneapolis, New York City and suburban Chicago, where courts have ordered listings.
