ICE Arrested 2 in This N.J. Town, and Local Police Say They Were Completely Left in the Dark

ICE agents arrested two men near Route 35 and 18th Avenue in Wall, N.J., on July 29 in an operation local police say they knew nothing about in advance. Wall police said they did not participate in the arrests and arrived only afterward "to ensure public safety" and direct traffic. ICE said both men were in the country illegally — one had re-entered the U.S. after being removed in 2009, and the other was released into the country during the Biden administration — and both remained in custody pending removal.
