ICE Agent Charged in Minneapolis Shooting Released From Texas Jail After Extradition Denied
Christian Castro, the ICE agent charged with shooting Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis in north Minneapolis in January, was released from a Texas county jail after a federal judge denied Minnesota's extradition request. Castro has been the subject of a rare interstate extradition battle, with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott refusing to sign the paperwork that would have facilitated his transfer to Hennepin County.
