How the Scarborough, Maine ICE Facility Is Feeding the Nationwide Detention Apparatus

The ICE facility in Scarborough, set up as an administrative site with a few short-term holding cells, is being used for more detentions, including overnight stays, often as a first stop in multi-state transfers, according to Maine Morning Star. Ruben Torres of the Maine Immigrant Rights Coalition called it “one piece of the machine.”
