Florida Congresswoman Calls Miramar ICE Office Holding Cells ‘Disgusting’ After Surprise Visit

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz made an unannounced visit to the ICE office in Miramar and said detainees lack medical care, hygiene, recreation and outdoor time and are held longer than a court order allowing 12 hours. She called the treatment “unconstitutional torture” and said such makeshift detention facilities should not exist.
