Family of Silverio Villegas González Files Claim Seeking Damages Over Fatal ICE Shooting

The family of Silverio Villegas González, 38, shot and killed by an ICE agent in Franklin Park on September 12, 2025 during Operation Midway Blitz, filed a Federal Tort Claims Act administrative complaint on October 8, a required step before suing. It alleges two agents created a dangerous confrontation and that ICE and DHS failed to train and supervise them.
