Delaware County Nurse With Legal Protection Arrested by ICE at LAX on Way to Disneyland

Monica Ryadi, 30, a nurse who came from Indonesia at age 9 and was granted withholding of removal in 2010, was handcuffed by ICE agents at LAX on September 15 while arriving with her husband and 3-year-old son. She was held 15 days at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center until a magistrate judge ordered her release on September 29. DHS called her an overstay and cited a 2010 removal order, which the Inquirer notes is standard for people granted withholding.
