Family Visitation Partly Restored at New Jersey ICE Facility After Week of Protests
Family visitation at the Delaney Hall immigration detention center in Newark is being restored to at least part of the facility, New Jersey’s governor and federal homeland security officials confirmed. Visits had been canceled after detainees began a hunger strike, a move that prompted a week of heated demonstrations outside the center that were met with an aggressive response.
