Colorado Attorney General Sues to Stop ICE Detention Center in Hudson
Attorney General Phil Weiser sued DHS and ICE to stop or delay the opening of the roughly 1,200-bed Big Horn detention center in a shuttered Hudson prison, alleging violations of NEPA, the Administrative Procedure Act and the Immigration and Nationality Act. ICE’s five-year, $528.7 million contract is with GEO Group; the suit asks a judge to cancel it and halt preparations.
