Chester County Man Detained by ICE a Week After His Wedding Reception Is Suddenly Released
Nelson Contreras-Gelves, 35, a Venezuelan asylum seeker, was arrested in June after attending an immigration appointment in Philadelphia, a week after his wedding reception. He spent months at Moshannon Valley Processing Center before an abrupt release on September 10. The couple says he has no criminal record; he now wears an ankle monitor.
