California Bans Electric-Shock Gloves for Local, State and Federal Officers
California enacted a law banning local, state and federal officers from using gloves that deliver electric shocks. The ban takes effect next year and runs through 2030, with a state Department of Justice safety study due by 2029. It follows ICE’s award last month of a nearly $17 million contract for 6,000 pairs.
