Aurora ICE Detention Center Is a Health Risk to Every Coloradan

In June, the private prison company The GEO Group, which runs the Aurora detention center for ICE, confirmed that a detainee had tested positive for active tuberculosis. Because tuberculosis is airborne and staff move between the facility and the wider community, public health officials have argued that the facility's refusal to share information makes it a hazard well beyond the people incarcerated inside it.
