Amentum Services

$1.2B ceiling Detention
Operates Camp East Montana, the tent detention camp on the Army’s Fort Bliss in El Paso. ICE extended its no-bid contract in July 2026, adding $776 million to an initial $452 million award — roughly $1.2 billion if Amentum runs the camp from March 2026 through September 2027. At least three people have died there since it opened in August 2025, and a Human Rights Watch and ACLU report found staff routinely beat detainees, denied medical care, and kept them in filthy conditions. USASpending records the company under CBP and ICE awards with a $1.2B ceiling; it is also the parent of PAE, a CBP aircraft-maintenance contractor.
